Kedist.org is the online home of a DC-based organization committed to realizing a sustainable model for orphanages in Ethiopia.
Ethiopia is a country of staggering challenges but great opportunity. It is home to over 5 million orphans (Source: Ethiopian AIDS Campaign) but, as most people live on less than $2 a day, financial support from abroad can go a very long way.
Kedist.org seeks to create a self-sustaining orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia by placing a museum on-site and training staff to lead cultural tours of the city.
